About
PARA is an artist collective from Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig, Frankfurt am Main and Stuttgart, that questions various phenomena of globalization and politics of memory in an interdisciplinary, research-based manner and with performative means. Since 2015 PARA has been working on overcoming current modes of coexistence, mostly site-specific and often in public spaces, using techniques of re-construction and speculation, between research and fiction.
Concept
PARA is also a label and an approach, as well as a network of artists and experts from various disciplines: The collective grows and shrinks depending on the project; it collaborates with other artists, scientists, activists and civil society actors.
